Hitting that throttle on a streetbike and opening it up is an awesome feeling, using clutch and control to zip through the gears as your heart races. You fly down the road and let the wind blow past you, with just a warm sun on your face. The GT comes alive in the turns, and you can feel it lock arms with pavement. You feel excited and full of fun. For many riders, streetbikes are best experienced when racing against others on a racetrack. For example they have a chance to do some time trials and decide who might be the quickest rider as well. However, even if you ride strictly on the road — like most of us do for biking adventures — there are hours and miles full of joy to be had pounding pavement with a streetbike.
Before you throw your hat into the streetbike arena, there are just a few critical things to keep in mind. The very first of all is, you need a motorcycle license. It does however mean that you have to take and pass a test demonstrating your ability to ride safely in observance of the rules of the road. Make sure you always strapped up with the best motorcycle helmet and other protective gear like gloves, handlebar muffs to keep yourself safe during an accident. You will also require the skills to manage your bike itself which consist of braking, accelerating and changing gears. Also, always remember to be checking your bike often for any issues & make sure it is SAFE TO RIDE!
